I consider myself particularly lucky to be with someone who knows how to use his hands.
- I mean that in a strictly work-related way.
He is a skilled trade worker, with an incredible mechanical mind and the innate ability to fix almost anything. Whether we’re talking about heating, plumbing, or general electric work… This boy knows what he’s doing and I find it so sexy. Of course, I can’t deny that I benefit from his machine-minded nature. In fact, he has helped many of my lifelong dreams come true simply by getting involved in a project. A few weeks ago I mentioned to my boy that my bathroom was always freezing cold in the mornings, and it made it unpleasant to jump in the shower. The bathroom was connected to the central heating and cooling system, but it seemed like the cold drafts from my window along with the extensive air duct system that had been extended into the lavatory created the perfect storm of a very cold space. Besides that, there was an overhead ventilation fan and heater installed in the bathroom, but they never worked while I lived here. If I turned on the fan or the heater, I didn’t notice much of a difference in the humidity or air temperature in that room. I was hoping that my boy could just check out the broken ventilation system and replace the heater. Well, he did a lot more than that. When I got home after work, he was proudly standing in my bathroom next to a bubble bath. He asked me how the temperature felt, and then demanded I take off my shoes. I thought it was a little weird that he was trying to get frisky right off the bat, but when my toes touched the floors, I understood. Instead of putting in a cheap overhead heater, he had installed brand new radiant heated floors. Now our baths are super pleasant.
