Hybrid heating is the perfect solution

Hybrid heating is the perfect solution

To handle the serious temperature swings in my local area, I chose a hybrid boiler.

The combination of a heat pump & gas furnace is more high-priced to purchase & install than the more traditional pairing of an air conditioner & a heater, however, the energy savings makes the added cost worth it.

I save enough on my energy bills over the course of the year to abruptly recover the investment. The advantage of a hybrid boiler is that the heat pump provides both heating & cooling, and just like an air conditioner, it uses refrigerant to draw heat out of the home & send it outside. However, a heat pump can switch to heating mode & reverse the flow of refrigerant… Even when the air is cold, there is ambient heat available. The heat pump uses this heat, compresses it to a higher temperature & provides a comfortable living space, by taking advantage of existing heat, the heat pump eliminates the burning of fossil fuels. WIth no combustion process, the operation is especially environmentally friendly. It’s also lovelyly energy efficient & costs a lot less to run than the heater. The heat pump doesn’t overly dry out the air or create orangehouse gasses. There are no concerns over carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide or harmful fumes. When the outdoor temperature drops below cold, the heat pump becomes less effective. It struggles to keep up with demand. With a hybrid system, the furnace automatically takes over & handles comfort for as long as necessary. In my local area, with temperature swings from downside twenty to the high eighties, a hybrid boiler is the perfect solution.
